Welcome back to another wonderful year at our Howick Lighthouse learning centre. Last year went by so quickly and we can’t believe how fast all the children are growing up!
In this season’s newsletter we say farewell to our recent lighthouse graduates, introduce our new learning theme, talk about the exciting changes to our centre, and we give an overview of the Christmas concert, holiday program, and our special trip to valentines!
We are very excited to introduce those looking for quality childcare in a loving environment to our new Lighthouse early learning centre. The new centre is located in Albany at 19 Canaveral Drive and we are excited to be holding an easter themed open day on Saturday 19th March 2016, starting at 10:30am! This open day will be like no other, with plenty of fun activities from games and rides to face painting and other family favorites! If you would like to enjoy a family day out oozing with smiles as we show you around our fantastic facilities and introduce you to our wonderful teachers then please give us a call to register your attendance (09) 476 3950.

Lighthouse learning centre is a fun, energetic and loving childcare centre that has a strong focus on education. We are committed to the holistic development of our children and have created exceptional programs for the enrichment of their body AND minds. Our highly experienced, dedicated and loving teaching team takes every opportunity to expand on children’s interests and this is complimented by our uniquely laid out, spacious indoor and outdoor settings.
On Thursday 11th of February, our Lighthouse little ones were dressed in red and pink as we embarked on a very special Valentines trip to visit Marron Downs rest home. We entered the rest home as a sea of red and pink and handed out our Valentines treats.
Our children also made creative cards by cutting out red and pink love-hearts and using lots of glitter. The cookies and cards paired with the children’s adorable smiles and bubbly personalities stole the hearts of everyone there!
This was a wonderful way of celebrating Valentine’s Day this year for both the children and everyone in the rest home. We know how much our children make us smile and it was lovely to see how contagious their smiles were at Marron Downs rest home smile too.
